Host your special event
Planning a festival, concert, vendor fair, car show, 5K, corporate gathering, or community event that needs more space than the Smithville Senior Center or a park shelter? Submit a Special Event Application to have your event reviewed by Smithville Parks and Recreation!

Smithville proudly hosts numerous community events each year, and we welcome you to join the tradition. Our Courtyard Park in Downtown Smithville is ideal for festivals, vendor markets, and live performances. For larger outdoor gatherings, our Smith’s Fork Park greenspace offers a scenic and spacious venue perfect for concerts and special celebrations. If any road closures are needed for your event, a special event application will be required.

To get started, download and complete our Special Events Packet. All applications must be submitted in full, along with a $25 application fee, to Smithville City Hall. Incomplete applications will not be accepted and will require a new submission and fee.

Special Event Application Process:
STEP 1: Download and complete the Special Events Packet
STEP 2: Return the completed packet to Smithville City Hall with the $25 Application Fee
STEP 3: SPR Staff will contact you within 30 days with approval status
STEP 4: If approved, SPR Staff will confirm your event fee. Payment is required to finalize and reserve your event date
