Budget Process

The Board of Aldermen approves the City's Operating and Capital Budgets annually in October. The City's budget/fiscal year runs from November 1st through October 31st. Leading up to budget adoption, the Board of Aldermen engages in budget work sessions to discuss the operating budget (comprised of the resources to execute day-to-day City operations and staffing) and the capital budget (comprised of the resources to execute small and large capital improvement projects).

Current Adopted Budget

The budget document is an annual publication presented by the City Administrator and Finance Director which highlights major inclusions in the budget and provides information on Governing Body goals, organizational structure, financial structure, department benchmarks, and revenues and expenditures.
