Chief of Police

Dear Citizens,

I am honored and humbled to serve as the Chief of Police for the City of Smithville.  I have lived and worked in this community for more than 25 years.  I believe Smithville has a bright future, and I’m excited to see where the community goes.  The men and women of this department are committed to building partnerships through innovation, professionalism, and accountability to foster a safer community for all. 

The vision of the Smithville Police Department is to set the standard for modern policing and the next generation of leadership.  This will be achieved by setting and maintaining high standards for our officers.  The members of this department are chosen for their professionalism, compassion, integrity and honor. 

We share a common goal with all citizens of Smithville- to reduce crime and create a safe community to live in.  I encourage the residents of Smithville to get involved in their home owners associations, schools, churches and City government.  Through partnerships with the community and mutual respect we can accomplish our goals.

The future of Smithville remains to be seen, but I’m confident it will remain a great place to raise a family and welcome all who visit.
