The City of Smithville engaged Raftelis Financial Consultants to develop water and sewer financial plans and develop rates for a five-year study period. The general objective of the utility rate planning process is to determine the level of revenue required to provide financial sustainability for the Combined Water/Wastewater Fund given the operational and capital needs of the City. The results of this study can be found in this
report provided to the Board of Aldermen in 2022. The City has engaged Raftelis Financial Consultants to facilitate an updated rate study projected to be completed spring 2026.
