Comprehensive Plan Dashboard

One of the most important parts of a community’s Comprehensive Plan is the implementation of the plan. We've developed a user-friendly Dashboard to keep you informed about the City of Smithville's comprehensive plan implementation progress. This dashboard offers updates and an overall view of the action items within the comprehensive plan, which is a crucial component of Smithville's comprehensive planning efforts.

The comprehensive planning process plays a pivotal role in envisioning and preparing for Smithville's future. Comprehensive plans serve as the cornerstone of planning endeavors for local governments, providing a roadmap for the years ahead. These plans encapsulate a shared vision for the community's growth and development. They outline the challenges that the community faces, analyze potential solutions, and offer valuable guidance to local officials as they navigate decision-making processes.

Within the dashboard, you'll find five filters that allow you to customize your view, either individually or in combination, to align with your interests. If you ever want to start fresh, a green "Reset Filters" button is at your disposal for easily reverting to the default settings.

The dashboard is structured around the five Strategic Pillars identified in the City’s 2019 Strategic Plan. It provides insight into the implementation strategies, or Action Steps, aligned with each pillar's goals. Every Action Step is accompanied by essential details, such as key stakeholders, relevant participants, priority, and the projected timeframe. These details are aimed at providing clear guidance to drive the implementation process in the years ahead.
