Maintenance Updates

  • Parks
    • Set remaining parking blocks to complete Smith’s Fork parking lots
    • Reset post and string for soccer
    • Cleanup the new office for the new park manager position
    • Serviced the batwing and brush hog mowers
  • Streets
    • Responded to concerns and replaced a stop sign at Mesa Dr & Marina Dr
    • Cleaned debris off stop sign at Bridgeport Dr & Hampton Dr
    • Reviewed multiple storm boxes during inspections and developed repair plans
    • Inspected and repaired storm boxes and checked for settlement in Hills of Shannon, Rock Creek, Clay Creek and downtown.
    • Performed maintenance on equipment
    • Cleaned around washout pad using leftover cold mix to reduce mud
    • Restored yard on Dundee with dirt and grass seed
    • Cut, milled, and cleaned out water break holes for asphalt repair on Meadow
    • Began crack sealing in Harborview, continuing from last year on south side of Bridgeport from Old Jefferson to Hampton
  • Utilities
    • Total Drinking Water Production 6,498,000 gal
    • Completed all testing required at the WTP
    • Conducted weekly chemical level checks at the WTP for ordering
    • Backwashed all 5 filters at the WTP
    • Continued working on the chemical feeds at the raw water building. This includes moving the permanganate feed pump and adding containment. Currently adding conduit and new wiring to control the pumps in automatic feed.
    • Completed 21 work orders and 61 locates 
    • Completed all testing required at WWTP
    • Treated 4,789,000 gallons of wastewater
    • Completed weekly checks of all booster station and towers in the distribution system
    • Staff repaired a water main break at 404 Highland Avenue
    • Staff exposed the 10” feed line to the north tower due to water in a field. The developer was determined it was a water leak. Since there is a 90-degree bend in the line close to where the water was surfacing, we exposed the fitting which was not leaking. Tested the water and it had no chlorine in it. Determined it was ground water.
    • Repaired pump #2 at Hills of Shannon lift station
    • Repaired pump #1 air relief at Rollins Landing lift station
    • Repaired pump #2 at Quail Ridge lift station and repaired the fence
    • Ran sewer for 514 East Brassfield
