Did You Know - The City's Budget Process
Board of Aldermen approve the City's Operating and Capital Budgets annually in October. The City's budget/fiscal year runs from November 1 through October 31. Leading up to budget adoption, the Board of Aldermen engages in budget work sessions to discuss the operating budget (comprised of the resources to execute day-to-day City operations and staffing) and the capital budget (comprised of the resources to execute small and large capital improvement projects)
