GFL Environmental Launches Mobile App for Smithville Trash Customers

Smithville residents can now receive solid waste service reminders, weather delay updates, holiday schedule notices and related information by downloading the free GFL MyPickUp HOU & KC mobile app, currently available at the Apple App Store and Google Play sites.

In addition to providing weekly collection reminders and service updates on your phone, the GFL app includes a Waste Wizard feature that helps users to find local recycling options for hundreds of specific materials. The app identifies which materials can be placed in residential carts for curbside collection and suggests outlets for materials not included in the curbside program.

Residential customers will also be able to use the mobile app to contact GFL’s customer service staff to report misses, ask questions and make requests.

GFL and the mobile app developer plan to add functionalities in the coming months to enhance communication with customers across the Android and iOS operating systems.
